King Express Train is a nice train from Hanoi to Sapa and vice versa. The wooden decoration and the lighting system in and outside the cabins create the warm ambience and the nice space for King Express Train. Generally, each cabin is equipped with air condition and nice berths with blankets, sheets, pillows, cold towels, and so on.
Cabins in King Express are categorized into three types, which are Suite Cabins, VIP 2 berth and VIP 1 berth cabins. Suite Cabins are a popular choice for a family or a big group with 4 berths. Meanwhile, VIP Cabins has private and intimate space with 2 berths or 1 berth which is pretty suitable for couples or singles who desire to enjoy their privacy.
Cabin Facilities
It takes passengers approximately 8 hours to travel from Hanoi to Sapa by train. The train departs everyday on the route between Hanoi and Lao Cai railways station.

In Hanoi, trains depart at Hanoi train station – 120 Le Duan Street, Hanoi. In Sapa, trains leave at Lao Cai train station which is 40km (1 hour driving) from Sapa town.
Once the booking is confirmed and completed, we will send you the train voucher through your email. You will use that train voucher to exchange for the actual tickets at our ticket counter at the train station. Our VIP lounge is located next to the gate 2A on the 2nd floor of Hanoi train station. In Sapa, our Chapa Lounge is located at the waiting room no 2 in Lao Cai train station. You will exchange the voucher for the tickets at these places.
No, as long as you can carry the luggage onboard and take care of the luggage yourself.
Our ticket counters or check-in gates are only open about 1 hour before the departure time so you should not arrive too early. You should be at the train station about 1 hour before the departure time to exchange for the tickets at our ticket counters and get in.
Unfortunately there is no dinning carriage on our train. Our train leaves late at night so you should have dinner before boarding.
The toilet is outside of your cabin and it is located at the end of each carriage.

Yes, but only in Sapa. We have shared shuttle bus (mini van) or private car (4 seaters, 7 seaters, 16 seaters, 29 seaters) from Lao Cai train station to Sapa town or vice versa. It is about 40km uphill road so it takes about 1 hour driving.
In Hanoi, we do not have this service since Hanoi train station is located inside Hanoi city center so it is very easy and convenient for you to take a taxi from your hotel.
